Creating the configuration file

If you don’t have a configuration file yet, open a Kitty terminal window and press: ctrl + shift + f2. This will generate a default configuration file.


Editing the configuration

Open the config file with your favorite editor:

vim ~/.config/kitty/kitty.conf

Reloading the configuration

To apply changes to the currently open terminal, press: ctrl + shift + f5
